They are both Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Irons. Both are 1″ irons. I love the 1 ” it is so versatile. Also it is easier for me to curl and wave my hair. The Solia Iron was given to me as a gift by my bf. They are both honest reviews. I think you should know that I am a cheap arse and would never want anyone to get fooled by any product. What? I am cheap…blame me hahah
I’m so happy with this product! For anyone who is on the fence about this don’t be. I saved up to get this when it was on sale, in the long run buying a higher end item will save you money. (The cheap ones will break or wont work very well, so you buy more.)
You can find this product on folica.com here: www.folica.com

PRICING!!! i paid price of the iron + 14.95 (for shipping since i’m in canada and don’t qualify for free shipping) and then convert this to US dollars (again.. since i’m in Canada) ALSO i didn’t pay custom fees. However, some people do, it really depends. Recap: Same price as the chi, but apparently lasts longer and has adjustable heat settings that the chi does not. Although the sedu is another really good flat iron, it’s a lot less expensive. good iron+less expensive= (Y) I FORGOT TO MENTION!!! My hair type is thin, and damaged at the ends from years of torturing my hair without heat protection
I have had 2 CHI flat irons and I loved them but they both broke.
I am going to try a new brand and I am thinking the solia. but i have read reviews saying it is amazing and some saying it is awful. I need more opinions. thanks ![]()
wow, to the first answer, that was NOT my question.
I am buying a flat iron for Christmas. Originally I was going to get a Chi, but after reading reviews at Folica, I decided on either a Sedu or Solia. Which one of those two should I get and where from?
The 1" Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron to be exact. I am almost certain this is the straightener I want, so please don’t try to encourage me to get the ‘marvelous CHI’
I’d appreciate reviews greatly! :]
For the past week i have read reviews about the kiyoseki and the solia flat iron and i want to choose one of those. Which one do you prefer?
